Jan Guenther has been doing triathlons and multi-sport events since the mid-1980s. She is Minnesota's most distinguished female triathlete and co-founder/owner of Gear West Ski & Run and co-founder of Gear West Bike & Triathlon. In addition to winning more races than most of us have completed, she has directed the Gear West Duathlon, the Ironkids Triathlon and numerous running and ski races including Race for the Cure. Paul Johnson is the YWCA of Minneapolis' Endurance Sports Specialist. He is an avid multi-sport enthusiast and former cross country/track coach at the College of St. Catherine. He is a certified USA Triathlon Race Director. His first triathlon was in 1980 on a girlfriend's rusty 10-speed.
