What Should I Wear?

This is, by far, one of the most common questions novice triathletes ask us at the YWCA. A definitive answer is difficult because there are several possibilities depending on each athlete's body, budget and style. That's why YWCA Tri Traning Coordinator Nicole Cueno has written an article to explain the various options available, including many tips from her own experience. Her best advice? Experiment, and be sure to try your gear in training before the big day!

Women's Flat Tire Clinics

YWCA Endurance Sports Don't get stuck miles from home. Learn how to fix a flat tire! Enjoy increased confidence to get out and enjoy your bike this spring and summer! Led by Gear West Bike & Triathlon's Hannah Sullivan. Learn on your own wheel or bike! It is free but you must pre-register by contacting Nicole at ncueno@ywcampls.org, 612-215-4203.

Location: YWCA Uptown (2808 Hennepin Ave S)
Time: Saturday, 9-10:15am

For info on all our classes and other types of support available, see the Training and Support pages on the Women's Tri website.

New This Year: Relays

We have relays! If you know someone who can't do one of the legs of the race (swim, bike or run legs), encourage them to find relay partners and still be part of the event! It is also a great way to introduce friends or family to fitness and the sport without immediately making a commitment to all three sports. And it's just a great way to share the fun with others. Find more info on our options for Friends, Families and Teams.
